Scales of cover explained
BUPACare offers three scales of cover: A, B and C. ‘A’ is the
highest through to scale C. These scales signify the category
of hospital accommodation for which you are covered and the monetary
level of certain benefits. In no way do they reflect the quality
of care or medical facilities provided.
Choosing a yearly excess ·
With both schemes, you can elect to pay an excess of £100, £150,
£200, £250 or £500 of the total treatment costs per year yourself
and gain a reduction to your subscription. Your excess will apply
to each person covered under your membership and to the claims
made by them during each membership year.
